Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award!

Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award

I did not know of the Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award until I was kindly nominated by Adam from Dad Does Autism. I have been reading Adam’s blog for some time now and I love how he shares stories from his every day with two autistic kids. Adam does an amazing job of presenting his life exactly how it is so I do hope you will pop over and give his site a visit!

The Rules of this Award:

1. Thank the person who nominated you with a link to their blog.
2. Make a post about the award and include the award logo.
3. Post the rules.
4. Answer the questions of the person who nominated you.
5. Ask 5-10 questions of your choice.
6. Nominate 10-30 other bloggers (or more) and notify them.

Adam’s Questions:

1. What is your favourite sport?

I am ashamed to admit I am one of those people who skips the sports section in the newspaper, and the only thing remotely close to a sport I enjoy is swimming.

2. What would you have for your “last meal”?

This is indeed a hard question! Since it is nearly impossible to choose between the many savory foods I enjoy, I will tackle this question by saying I will have a bread boule of creamy spinach artichoke dip and chocolate chip cookies. Strange, I know, but both foods are foods I will eat for the rest of my life.

3. If you could ask for a miracle, what would it be?

Miracles are touchy things, but one of the things I have always wished for and held close to my heart are family connections. I would not want to force my wishes upon another person, but my miracle is the end of spanking as a disciplinary practice. I feel like a generation raised without spanking will be a generation that will bring positive change, since people who resort to lies and manipulations will not be the ones who have a greater say in the future of our world.

4. What is your favourite book?

My favorite books tell stories that stick with me. I love Little Women by Louisa May Alcott and Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple books.

5. Cats or Dogs?

I have always had a deep connection with most animals. One of my favorite animal moments was reaching out to touch a cat promised to scratch strangers. I reached out slowly and the cat made no objections to me rubbing its head. That said, I had a cat and still have a dog and think my connection to dogs is stronger then my love for most animals.

6. If your life needed saving, which superhero would you want to save you?

I love superheroes who are not just about muscle and gore. For that reason I love both Wonder Woman and Spiderman, but think my choice would be Shazam, from DC’s recent movie, because I loved that he came from a foster home background yet still found his own stability.

My Questions:

  • What is the most courageous thing you have ever done?
  • What is the first thing you notice about a person?
  • What inspires you the most?
  • Coffee or tea?
  • What is the most useless thing you have ever bought?

My Nominees:

  • Nons Mshengu of Cherbelle: This is a new blog I recently stumbled across, but I already love the mix of lifestyle and self-care content that Nons Mshengu describes as “the ramblings of my brain and heart.”
  • Shantanu Baruah: I love that his poetry focuses on feelings and offers us inspiration to help us smile on rainy days.
  • Judy Kim of Seoul Sister: Judy shares her views, often centered around recent events, by way of truthful poetry and I love that she is not afraid to share her views.
  • Laura of Laura’s Books and Blogs: This is another blog I only recently started following but, as a writer, Laura’s helpful posts on writing and her author interviews give me an insight into what it would mean to be an author.
  • Kalliope Chasing: A delightful mix of helpful posts to juice up your nature, health, family, and writing-related lives.
  • Robin LeeAnn: As a copy editor, proofreader, and freelance editor, Robin LeeAnn shares her two cents on the journey of taking a book from draft to print, something that keeps me chiseling away at my novels in order to one day write something good enough to print.
  • Amoafowaa Sefa Cecilia of Mum Cee: As a lover of poetry, I love poetry that spans cultures and Amoafowaa does just that.
  • L. Stevens of Everyday Strange: With a mix of everyday photos and macabre poetry, I especially love the daily musings that often make me think back on my day come evening.
  • Jade M. Wong: Book reviews and poetry that is not too long for me nor too short.
  • Rachel of Stay Positive it’s Autism: Here is yet another person sharing her day to day life with her kids. I love that she lets her kids be who they are and is there at their sides to support them.

Once again, much thanks to Adam of Dad Does Autism for his kind nomination! I love the opportunity to share the love with writers I see putting their hearts into their writing.
