Raspberry love and chocolate

Raspberry love and chocolate prose

Pink and green briar, my auburn hair twined around it like ivy clings to an old church tower. The leaves choke the bell off yet still the sound whispers silver through a raven’s black wing feathers.

Liquid of your love wraps around me. Ivory and ebony ground to dust by our flesh, we tasted cacao only to cleanse our tongues with spring water.

Gold foil catches on your teeth. Seventeen drops of wine dry to powder at the bottom of your cup. I touch it and aluminum star and tin fairy dreams stain my eyes. You are too strong for me. Still, I drink.

You are a gifted writer for one so young. I put all of my energies into so many other paths and am only now…as a great grandmother…endeavoring to make a stamp on the path of words that have always been mine. I’ve been blogging for 11yrs now and still my words are evolving…even after a lifetime of writing. I began before you at age 19 and will forever continue. You inspire.

Magnificent imagery and feelings. I adore the movement in this piece, from the church bell, dust, spring water, the wine, and the fairy. Movement reigned supreme along with your stunning prose. Wondeful, Jaya!
