Birth of Solandis

Birth of Solandis Poem

I arose from molten core

With smoke for veil and liquid fire in my eyes.

Blackened with soot

I erupted into breathless air and

Imprinted my name across your belonging.

My seafoam hemline coasts across

Young emerald grass. I discard my veil

Roil with longing dream

Merge with soil.

When I lie with my belly to the ground

I feel the heartbeat of the earth well within me.

Midnight territory clings to my skin

I dare stellify with the generations I have sprung from.

Solandis Meaning: Delicate Flower. Bear.

Absolutely gorgeous. I get the sea vibrantly here. Like when the sea meets volcanic activity, and there are transformational events occurring on a microscopic scale. Unseen, yet happening nevertheless, which reminds me of all of the unseen within us and without. Beautiful, Jaya!
