3 Poems Published in The Sound of Brilliance Anthology!
I am proud to share three of my micro poems, Change, Strength, and Benevolence, are published in The Sound of Brilliance anthology!
Curated by Susi Bocks of I Write Her, the anthology brings together the best of the best from the past year of featured writing on The Short Of It, Susi’s online poetic journal where creative thought is given a place to shine.

The Sound of Brilliance speaks to me in both word and cover. The heron is a regal and beautiful bird, worthy of more than poetic thought. I often see great blue herons along my Irish Creek fishing for rainbow trout or dallying along the more-distant South River, but every glimpse at these painted creatures never dulls the lift my heart.
I do not know where the road will take me. By walking the side cuts and long routes and by exploring both the left and right turns, I will go to more than one brilliant city through word, travel, and conversation and speak of my imprint for others to discover.
Walk beyond the straight and narrow. All around you walk those in divergence.
The following is an excerpt of my poem, Change.
Alone in the dark
She waited for the door to
Open unsure of
What stood on the other side . . .
