Empyrean Dive into Past Self

Empyrean-Dive-Into-Past-Self-Poem

I wish to be a potato farmer struck by the lightning blight so that

I might set sail from Scotland and land, wrecked, on Virginian shores

With struggling lighthouse halo alive in the storm and

Promised silver cloud ahead.

I push my way upland on naked foot in company and

Go farther than the last footstep penetrating the lush mountain.

Torn skirt and ruptured corset

I clothe myself in emerald shadow

Discover the green flows like the roiling wave and

Meets world’s end between the

Apple orchard and fissured well.

Silk against fragile skin

The past massages my hands with seashell and snowflake

I breathe descending sky and dream of the

People I will become.

Dear Jaya, you have the power to convert even concepts that people generally take to be negative, like shadow, for example, into magic.
So, since the shadow you write is emerald, it becomes precious.
I love the color green, so you have reached me with a powerful feeling.
    A thousand thanks!
