Lunar Molting

Lunar Molting poem by Jaya Avendel

Let me rot from the inside out

Bone and broken dream

slip off me.

I feel dirty inside.

I crushed the moon between

my ribs. Her light broke me

Stung my tongue peppermint.

Pale aura

faintly pink alights upon my hair

Clings like morning mist

to grass

Dares me to wear the

lost pieces of my beauty

Don a new skin and

grow whole.
