How pale the autumn sunshine!

Winter kisses her golden edges

Pomegranate-stained love bites

Sweeten naked skin.

Surf on the mountains‘ cascading wave

Trail ochre and almond brown

Finger cut on quartz

First snowflake stings grey.

How pale the autumn sunshine!

Bluest eye silvers

Heart slivers drift as though eagle feathers

Caught in the wind in this

The smallest corner of an

Unfinished painting.
