Serpentine Divine

Serpentine Divine Poem

I stand here

Feet laced to the ebony ground

Brimming with crystalline rage.

You dare tower above me

Cast my mortal body into shadow

My spirit blinds yours.

Meet my eyes

Lose yourself to the myth of their murky depths

Lionness roars.

Crawl back to your sand pit

You cannot withstand the sun.

I love how the imagery wraps around the words just like a snake.

I really like the contrast between the rather weak & small physical body that is towered over and the indominable spirit that just overpowers the one casting the shadow!

    “You dare tower above me

I like the snake cane. I have a wolf-head cane. Good evening from Michigan.

Your poem is more powerful than the picture, which must be from a statue or a museum of something like that.

You’ve masterful captured the mysterious essence of the spirit of a snake. The divine and devilish, the sensual and the texture, all the lights and it’s shadows…. Being a snake zodiac, a pure treat to read you, Jayer💗
