Nominated for Author of the Month at Spillwords Press!
I do not often deviate from my twice-a-week blogging writing schedule but, as I have learned in the past, some news is simply too uplifting and inspiring not to share.
I have been nominated an Author of the Month at Spillwords Press! The news delights, touches, and validates my passion in ways beyond the expressible. Being a word witch, though, I attempt to capture my feelings in ink even now.
I am a writer. I will always write. I know this but being nominated an Author of the Month means other people know and support it too. Recognition is something I value but do not necessarily write for. I love the unexpected nature of acknowledgement, the way it makes me smile, and the lesson it teaches in community.
Nin Chronicles is growing beyond what I started out with three years ago; a need to share and express myself in words. In addition to writing plenty of poetry, I am now enjoying the lyricism of prose and the challenge of crafting an engaging short story. Most of all, I am in love with sharing what I have learned on my literary journey in the form of writing guides. Nin Chronicles is growing beyond what I started out with three years ago, but it remains true, in all its forms, to my love of sharing and connecting with people through writing.
My love of growth is why I am switching Nin Chronicles to a self-hosted WordPress blog. In the next week or two, after I have ironed out the kinks of the transfer from this space to the new one, you may be redirected to the new site.
