This Ghostly Love
This ghostly love
Borrows smoke from witches’ fires
Takes bones from forgotten vaults.
Shaken between crystal stoppers
Sunlight reveals the glass is false.
This ghostly love
Sparks and sings of ivy dreams and onyx failures
Beheaded queens and ragged princes.
Pages turned in yellowed books
You feel the past on your fingers
Preserve this ghostly love!
