Divergence
I wasted my wish on chocolate
Wrapped in absurd sunsets
Tasted bitter love on my tongue
My kiss comes in black cocoa
I prefer the shiver of sweetness tenderness leaves behind.
You cast your wish
Under starlit canopy, let it
Carry you to the aqua depths of the ocean
Where starfish touch your pearling ankles and
Bears walk among the coral.

Another great piece Jaya! I love the imagery it conjures up and takes on different meanings. I don’t know why, but I can imagine this being about a summer romance/holiday fling.

Wonderfully vivid, and I feel it fits the theme of absurdity perfectly! There’s so much to unpack in the narrator’s relationship and the journey they are transported through, this is brilliant

Oh about me I suppose I have wasted too many wishes in chocolate.
On the acqua depth of the ocean you made me come in mind an image of something like a water baggy dress, can’t explain why.
Bears walking among the coral would do less damages than we “humans” do.

I too have wasted wishes in chocolate. I enjoy your imagery of a water baggy dress and your thoughts on bears among the coral! Thank you. 😁
