The Writer’s Medic Bag was the final design of Zeynep, founder of Galen Leather. Zeynep was passionate about pursuing her dream of running an authentic, incredible business in life and a lover of all things vintage. She designed this bag with writers in mind.
The Writer’s Medic Bag is a stylish and practical way to carry around all your writing tools. Inspired by the traditional medic kit bag, this bag makes it possible for writers to venture forth with their writing kit at their side to make calls at their favorite writing haunts. With compartments for notebooks, devices, pens, accessories, and personal items, you can pack all your writing essentials for daily use with you.
The Writer’s Medic Bag comes in two sizes and in a wide range of lovely colors, from distressed tan to gray. The one you are looking at here is the extra-large Writer’s Medic Bag in crazy horse blue. With the extra large Medic Bag, I am able to pack my laptop and the larger notebooks I use, as well as a wide variety of pens and writing accessories.
This medic bag for writers features a variety of secure pen holders, slots for letters, papers, and personal items, as well as a dedicated section for larger notebooks and a laptop.
I was able to fit a large hardback notebook, a soft-cover notebook, and my laptop into the notebook slot, as well as fit in my pens, a bottle of ink, two letters, several smaller notebooks, a coin purse, and a tin with pen nibs. There is also space for keys and a slot for cards.
The front flap of the bag folds out for easy setup and securely magnetizes to the sides of the bag when it comes time to pack up. The front latch secures the flap and keeps the bag closed while you are walking, biking, or even running to catch the bus.
The bag also comes with an adjustable leather strap that can be quickly attached to the bag for easy carrying.
Although the bag ships from Turkey, I received it within five days of placing my order. It came securely packaged and was an absolute delight to open! To tell you the true style is not something that is important to me, but using vegan options is, which is why I use either a canvas bag I bought when I use to live in japan that I love, and was instils there in 2010, and a bookbag made with a similar canvas material that I bought when my old one broke in 2012.
