I really love how you have a way with words. I love how your poems resonate with things that happen in life and how they seem so real. This poem was really it for me. I don’t know but this poem brought so many pictures and thoughts to my mind. There’s a lot of scenarios I thought of after reading this and if I start writing everything that came to my mind after reading your poem, I might end up writing the longest comment you’ve ever seen haha. I loved this tho. I love how you could express so much with just three lines. 💗

I loved how the poem creates a lot a deep emotions from just 3 lines but what I enjoyed the most is how it got me thinking about what it could mean.
    • I pictured a tall ballerina & the agony/pain they might be feeling
    • But then I also thought of flowers swaying in the wind(reffering to dancing in the wind). Or that life that they have in their seeds( “planets at her breast)
And I’m still thinking about what it means, which is pretty powerful.
It’s a fantastic poem & thank you for sharing!!

I’m getting the sadness from this but I can’t put my finger on why which is making this all the more interesting for me to try and decipher. With a ballerina dancing around the thoughts in my head. Which I guess is a lot for three lines, a very powerful piece! x

    1. Jaya Avendel

Thank you! I enjoy that this piece both fulfilled you and left room for deciphering.

Haiku bringing a word bigger than the breast planets.
I feel all the essence of the impossibility to balance.
Small feet can’t bear the weight.
Anorexic silhouette is the shape of internal hurt.
    Suffering.
    Embrace dear Jaya

This is a perfect depiction of what tragedy can look like. Small feet are hard to manage when it comes to balancing. Even having breasts that big will cause back injuries! The key is balance. Thanks for sharing this deep piece!

Short but super powerful! I can imagine a ballerina with these words, but then in another sense tall wildflowers or weeds swaying in the Spring breeze ready to release their seeds. I love how your words can prompt lots of different meanings!
    Another fab post Jaya!
