Body Art Poem

Golden dawn bleeds into my eyes

I face the sunrise with musical notes imprinted onto my skin.

Mahogany wood polished over with love

Passion trapped beneath heavy lid

Taste of honey sweet in the air

Fingertips alive with soul.

When the sun rises overhead

It settles wicked in cupped hand of sky and

Lingers against the nape of my neck

Whispering dangerous promises that

Carve themselves onto the bones of my spine and

Intertwine with my being.

Silver dusk bleeds into my eyes

I face the sunset with musical notes imprinted into my skin.

Wow, I love your poem of two parts contrasting each other. And promises are often dangerous, and dreams misleading. And we brave our way through their sweet intoxication and find ourselves.

Oh this is special…I love how you face the sunrise and sunset stroking the ivory keys of your piano. I love my piano and play it daily,,,maybe not from sunrise to sunset, but surely at night (like last night) on the full moon a slow and emotional rendition of The Moonlight Sonata:) Dreamy and beautifully orchestrated Layla!

All the intensity of a day that also crosses the body as well as the soul, because light is not just for the eyes.
