Rebellion

~After Amanda Gorman‘s The Hill We Climb

The hills we struggle over are

Not hills at all.

We are lifting our knees too high

On flat ground.

  1. Thank you for sharing!!… wonderful thoughts about something I often refer to as “making a mountain out of a mole hill”… ๐Ÿ™‚

    Until we meet again..

May flowers always line your path
    and sunshine light your way,
    May songbirds serenade your
    every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky thatโ€™s always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.
    (Irish Saying)

  2. We are leaving our needs too high on flat ground. There’s something so powerful about that. Personally, for me it talks about how I can often overwork or over-worry when I do not need to! Just enjoy the flat!

  3. Wonderful! This is totally has a deep meaning. Sometimes we get so focused on our struggles until we forgot to cherish our lives and the people who love us. It’s all about perception. Thanks for sharing x

  4. What a thought-provoking piece! Sometimes in life we see obstacles as larger than they need to be when, in fact, reality is only our personal perspective?
