Two Poems Published at Grand Little Things!

I am delighted to share two of my poems, Murdered and Concubine, are published at Grand Little Things!

Grand Little Things is a flowering poetry journal that embraces writing about the big things in life as well as musings on the small things that make our lives whole.

Thanksgiving, I am told, originated in 1621 at a table where the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag tribe shared a feast that is acknowledged as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies.

Most indigenous people do not celebrate Thanksgiving as it reminds them of the killing of millions of their people, the theft of their lands, and the attack on their cultures.

My feelings about the bloodshed that exists in every culture worked into Murdered and Concubine. Violence is something that exists, but how we choose to handle it is what matters.

To me Thanksgiving is simply a time to be think of the good things that have happened to us over the year and share gratitude with the people in our lives.

I know 2020 has been a rocky year for many of you. It is a good year for me.

I have had more time to pursue creative writing opportunities, more time to treasure connections, more time to try new things, and more time to spend with my family.
