This ghostly love
Borrows smoke from witches’ fires
Takes bones from forgotten vaults.
Shaken between crystal stoppers
Sunlight reveals the glass is false.
This ghostly love
Sparks and sings of ivy dreams and onyx failures
Beheaded queens and ragged princes.
Pages turned in yellowed books
You feel the past on your fingers
Preserve this ghostly love!

Oooh this poem is perfect for the time of the year!! You can’t go wrong with some ghost stories. Though, it makes me wonder, not all are here to haunt you… Some might just… Want to look out for people – if they are real. Love this poem!! Happy Halloween!!

I love the idea of borrowing the smoke from witches’ fire.
This ghostly love makes me think to the past. A love for the past which could be false, like the glass …
