‘Awakening’ Published at Brave and Reckless!

I am proud to share my poem, Awakening, is published at Brave and Reckless!

Christine Ray is the voice behind Brave and Reckless, where she writes because she has to. I connect with writing out of passion and so am further delighted to know my poem has a home in her world of words.

Awakening is written in response to the prompt ‘mad world‘ that Christine shared with fellow writers. Prompts challenge me to think in new ways and unearth the deepest thoughts that the prompt awakens in me.

For a while words turned in my mind. I wrote nothing. I did not know how I felt about a mad world. Slowly I came to realize that madness does not have to be terrifying or disorienting. There is order in all madness if we bring it into the chaos with ourselves.

I realized I wanted to say something new. I wanted to be awakened. Hence this poem came into being and it is one of my favorite pieces thus far.

It is a delight to express myself creatively. It is even more of a delight to come away from musing with my deepest feelings down on paper.

I challenge you to unearth your deepest feelings. When it comes to taking big steps and making important decisions, do so with all your thoughts in front of you. Make sure your mind is clear.

In the meantime, I invite you to enjoy Awakening and be awakened in your own way.

  1. Congratulations on getting Awakening published!! I am excited that you’ve been getting your work published all over the place. I like the idea – about being awakened. It’s hard to make good decisions these days given the situation. We are not sure if the move is the best but sometimes, we have to take that leap of faith.

  2. “Your name is jumbled letters.”

These are the words touching me in the deepest because for me it is exactly like that.
For long time I didn’t liked my name: Claudia, and it took ages to accept some parts of me. Actually I still am in trouble while analyzing myself in some way.
THANKS a lot for sharing your precious words which are able to include huge worlds in few lines.
