You are too willing
to share my crystal ball
and
close your eyes over
an enameled future.
To you
I am still your winter candle
while I want to burn
the sin
from your eyes.
I devour you
like I devoured
myself.

Ooooh! I like this piece. Kind of has spooky vibes with the season and all. I like that people want to know the future and the crystal ball seems to have the answers. I haven’t heard of Angitia before but love the concept of her!!

This is so beautiful, I think I read it about four times over and over. Truly gorgeous.

A beautiful take on the prompt! “I devour you like I devoured myself.” : Wow. There’s a certain darkness to that sentence that felt almost familiar.

Hi Jaya. Wow, powerful words. I’m curious, are you able to write like this at will or does it take time and you write one verse at a time?

Sometimes I write one verse at a time. Often I write the piece in one go, then re-arrange, change, and re-write lines. 🙂

A beautiful and we’ll written piece. The latter part kind of remind me of my mental health problems, how they affect me and those close to me as well
