How true, each syllable subjected to scrutiny, as we ponder clicking “publish”. 💜

Your words are like a poem themselves! 🙂

So true, it’s so easy to look at so many things in the creative industry especially and forget how many hours went into making a 3 minute song or 90 minute movie. Such a thoughtful piece that can be applied to so many things x

Exactly! A three minute song has so much labor behind it.

So true with blog posts, books, paintings and a lot of creativity. Definitely should be more appreciative of the time and effort that goes into a piece. Thank you for sharing!

On the flippant side, this is how I always feel about cooking a meal (!) but I think this is very true of how we consume books and poetry. We don’t very often stop to consider just how long a piece of prose or poetry has taken to craft, we just appreciate the finished work. Beautifully put, Jaya 🙂

This poem is so beautifully written! It applies to so many different aspects of life, especially when it comes to the creative field. This is a great reminder to think deeper into the process of what it took to create something, whatever that may be. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

Great poem, so true too! It’s like with artists that are told their prices are too high, but these people don’t see the blood, sweat, and tears that go into work.

So true, and it leaves me feeling guilty at times as I know the anguish that goes into a piece and the seconds it takes to devour it first hand..

I try to remember to treasure each word I read. I enjoy putting moments in words for others to enjoy, if only for a moment.
Merry Christmas!
