Ah me!
How I long to leap
To join you at rock bottom
The wind urges me on
But the echo of your scream
Turns me away.

Great poem, Jaya! I find this relatable to when you have someone in your life who is at rock bottom and self sabotaging and you want to help but know that you will be dragged down too so its a constant back and fourth struggle of wanting to help but also respecting yourself and boundaries. I feel this. Thanks for sharing xx

I ❤ love the way you see this! Yes, it is a hard balance to find when you want to help but know you might end up fall too.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I love how you incorporated language to firsts lull us, then shock us. I’m going to extrapolate and take your poem to heart, use it as a lesson, which may or may not have been your intention. Thanks so much.

I think we’ve all hit rock bottom at some point in our lives. The key is to make ourselves stronger because of it and not let something like that tear us down. Great poem as always! xx

On the contrary, I find your writing very good, though it is definitely different. Your beauty is found through your face-paint skills. 🙂
Thank you for your kind words. 🙏
